This website currently uses no analytics of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom and no server-side visitor profiling. Nothing counts, follows or profiles you as you read.
If Hizashikan introduces analytics in future, this policy will be updated to explain:
- which service is used;
- what information it collects;
- whether cookies or similar technologies are used;
- how long information is retained; and
- what choices visitors have.
Where consent is legally required, analytics will not be activated until the visitor has given that consent.
Embedded content
Pages may eventually contain content from third-party services such as video or mapping providers.
Third-party content can sometimes set cookies or communicate information to the provider.
Where practical, we will use privacy-conscious implementations and avoid loading non-essential third-party services before any required consent has been obtained.
At present the site embeds nothing from anyone else. The map on the contact page is a plain image rather than an interactive Google map, and the video testimonials are still images that only load a video after you click one. Fonts are served from this website rather than from Google Fonts. The practical effect is that no third party is contacted, and no third-party cookie can be set, unless and until you choose to play a video.
Social media
Links to Hizashikan's social media accounts do not themselves need to track visitors.
We aim to use ordinary links rather than unnecessary social-media tracking widgets.
